Farm-to-table food in a beautiful atmosphere, and a store full of beauty, experience and magic
ABC Kitchen and ABC Carpet & Home

ABC Kitchen has been a favorite of my family's since the first time we ate here. The food is right down my alley, with fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, a kind of farm-to-table menu that always has a lot of greens and is spiced with nice fresh herbs. Award-winning Michelin chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten is the chef and, collaborating with ABC Carpet & Home, he created a very beautiful and delicate space. 

ABC Kitchen is a “must-try” if you are in New York. I recommend that you either reserve in advance — at least one month in advance — or be there when they open at 12pm, as that’s most likely the time to get a table. Enjoy a homemade soda in the bar if there is a wait. Some of my favorites are the crab toast with lemon aioli, the kabocha squash toast with fresh ricotta and apple cider vinegar, kale salad and pizza with Brussels sprouts, garlic, jalapenos and lemon. The dishes are perfect to share family-style so you will be able to try more dishes.

In my search for new interior items when settling in our New York home, a Danish friend recommended that I look in ABC Carpet & Home. I fell in love with this amazing store very quickly. Even if you are not in the market for buying, I recommend taking a stroll to get inspired among the many treasures and innovative designs. My favorite floor is the 2nd floor, but be sure to take the elevator to the 6th floor and see the amazing room with rugs.
