ABC Cocina is the sister restaurant to ABC Kitchen — a sort of a “brunette” version. While ABC Kitchen is light, ABC Cocina has a more mysterious, romantic and dramatic ambience. At both places you will experience the vision of ABC Home curation.
The menu is seasonal, local and with a focus on health. The man behind the culinary vision is Michelin star Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. The food has a touch of Mexican style, with a lot of fish and more spicy dishes on the menu.
I always like the good service you get in New York. One time, I went with my mom, sister, baby nephew and son to ABC Cocina. Everyone was so kind and helpful — no indication we were being a burden, despite the younger company. The service is such an important part of a good experience in a restaurant and we felt very welcome here. That time was for lunch, though; I wouldn’t recommend bringing children here for dinner.
