Food trend addicts try to avoid everything with gluten these days, but for me, bread is absolutely essential — I love bread and cakes. I respect people that, for some reason, need to avoid eating gluten, but I believe in eating everything with moderation and exercising as a part of a healthy lifestyle.
A great place to satisfy your bread appetite is Bakeri in Williamsburg, a cozy, quaint bakery and café featuring a variety of Scandinavian breads, pastries and other items, including great cinnamon rolls and skolebrød (so Danish)!
Further dawn the street you find Mociun, a nice shop with a unique collection of ceramics, jewelry, rugs, textiles and beauty products.
Baggu makes the coolest bags — which you didn’t knew you needed until you got one. They’re small bags to keep folded in your purse, tote bag or backpack in case you need extra room for shopping — a necessary accessory when you live in New York. Very clever! You can get Baggu bags at other places in town but they have a small shop on North 3rd St between Wythe & Kent Ave.
